This is a private party for Pam & friends
Intro to Kokedama
Kokedama, Japanese for ‘moss ball’, is considered a modern form of bonsai in which a plant’s roots are surrounded in soil, covered in moss and then tied together with string. Kokedama are ‘pot-less’ plants that look beautiful simply sitting on a dish or suspended from a string. They are the perfect combination of nature and art. Start a Kokedama garden or give them as a unique gift.
This “Into to Kokedama” class includes everything you need to make one small succulent kokedama and one medium sized succulent or houseplant kokedama, each covered in dried forest moss and natural hemp string. You will begin by selecting your plants from Dragonfly’s large selection of succulents and then discuss soil requirements, mosses and different types of string as you create your own unique Kokedamas.
Join us for this relaxing workshop and depart with beautiful, living art.
Taught by Pam Edmondson, a local creative with a background in gardening and floral design, who loves sharing her enthusiasm for all things handmade as well as meeting and spending time with other creatives. Pam believes taking classes is a great way to be inspired - with the added benefit of not having to clean up the mess!
